About the Role
Binabik AI is opening a position for a talented Master's student to conduct their thesis in the field of Humanoid Robotics. You will join our Engineering team to solve one of the most critical challenges in modern robotics: bridging the gap between human intent and robot execution through high-quality data.
The Project
The goal of this thesis is to build a robust pipeline for the teleoperation of a humanoid robot. You will not only control the robot but also architect a system to record, process, and enhance the data generated during these sessions to train future AI models.
Responsibilities
Teleoperation Setup: Implement and optimize a teleoperation system for a humanoid robot platform (e.g., Unitree).
Data Pipeline: Design a system to store high-frequency sensor and control data efficiently.
Data Processing: Develop algorithms to filter noise and validate the quality of recorded demonstrations.
Augmentation: Implement data augmentation techniques to expand the dataset for robust imitation learning.
Integration: Collaborate with our Senior Engineers to test the pipeline on physical hardware.
Requirements
Academic Status: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Mindset: A strong understanding of kinematics and control theory.
Coding: Proficiency in Python is a strong plus; familiarity with C++ is beneficial.
Bonus Points: Experience with Whole Body Controllers (WBC), NVIDIA GR00T, or Unitree Teleoperation SDKs is an advantage but not required.
What We Offer
Access to state-of-the-art humanoid hardware.
Mentorship from industry experts in AI and Robotics.
The opportunity to turn your thesis into a full-time position upon graduation.
